5+Songs+To+Listen+To+When+Studying

It was a stressful day at school, you have lots of homework and on top of that, you have to study for your unit three history exam. While studying for your test you decided to listen to music and click on Post Malone’s song, Rockstar featuring 21 Savage.

After listening to it for two and a half minutes, you can not focus on your studying and instead focus on the high pitch beats with a mush of all sorts of rhythms and beats you can’t even wrap your head around.

In short, this headache could have not even started in the first place, if you have listened to these five songs instead.

5.) Saibo + Jashne Bahara + Iktara – Lofi Flip

This song is a mashup of three different Hindi pop songs. The reason it’s suitable to listen to while studying is because it has a very light beat that can be compared to ocean waves rocking back and forth. This song has not been trendy in the U.S., but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth listening to. There are lyrics here and there in the song, but mostly just a calming beat.

4.) Why Would I Do Like – Coffee Boy

The song’s main beat is from a xylophone, giving off a “Coffee-Shop Aesthetic”, with a touch of K-Pop. The xylophone does not get irritating to listen to, in fact it’s therapeutic to listen to. The lyrics are only sung in Korean – it’s not a rough language to listen to in music, it’s very soft and light. Personally, during online school, I would replay this song over and over again. It assisted me in staying focused on working on assignments and studying for finals.

3.) Love in Portofino – Andre Bocelli (Original – Dalida)

His voice is angelic and the piano sets the tempo to a breezy type of sound, the rhythm is easy to follow and not distracting. Just by listening to this song you want to be in Portofino, Italy. Portofino is a city off the coast of Italy, it is filled with many colorful historical small buildings with a population of 439 residents as of 2011. Portofino is a relaxing place to be because you’re away from people and are able to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The piano at the beginning of the song sets a tone for the song. The instruments all have a steady rhythm that’s not intense .

2.) Kal ho Naa Ho – Sonu Nigam

Hindi songs bring something new into the music industry. Kal Ho Naa Ho, translates to “Tomorrow may never come”. The lyrics in this song are amazing, it goes in-depth how life is short. There’s no time to be angry or sad, just live life as if it’s your last day on earth. The lyrics and rhythm go well together, in making this song a great one to listen to while studying. It’s my motivation to get through tough times, especially studying for tests.

1.) Behet Ghol Midam (live) – Mohsen Yeganeh

I love how there’s no trap or any buzzing, annoying beat, just a few minor instruments, a guitar and singing. Something that’s missing in our generation is appreciating live music. Having lyrics that don’t contain sex, drugs, or money is something we rarely see in this day and age of music. The lyrics are not cliche, and in fact bring music to what it used to be and when I used to be I mean in the 60s. This song is my absolute favorite song, not only because it’s startling to see a song that has mastered respectful lyrics towards a significant other but because there’s no cussing or cliche aspects in it.
