Creek students get hyped for the home team during the game. Creek won their home opener 31-0, their second shutout of the year after beating Doherty 42-0 on the road.

Seniors cheer on Creek, dressed in the iconic senior gear. In addition to donning the senior tank tops on the first day of school, many students wear them to spirit events and sports games.

Creek varsity football’s first home game opened with “The Star-Spangled Banner” played by band director Tim Libby on trumpet. Creek varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders saluted the flag during the national anthem with anticipation for the start of the game.

Cheerleaders hype up the massive home team crowd. Attendance at the home opener is often one of the highest all season.

With six minutes and 30 seconds left in the first quarter of Creek varsity football’s game against Pomona on Friday, Sep. 3, Pomona’s offense fumbled the ball on 2nd and 9 to be recovered by the Creek defensive unit. It was a fumbled snap off the feet of Pomona and into the hands of Creek.

After a Pomona fumble in the first quarter, the Creek Varsity defensive unit celebrates their success. Coaches and players yelled in excitement as they high-fived and hip-bumped each other.
