Football: Creek vs. Pomona recap

What Happened: On last Thursday, September 13, 2018, the Bruins played against Pomona, the last year’s state champion, in a very close, tight, and stunning game. The final score was 35-34 to Creek, and after starting the last quarter behind by 7 points, the Bruins were able to tie, forcing a overtime that ended with a victory from Creek by only one point difference. This result kept the Bruins’ victory streak, so for it has been four games and four wins.

Key Player: Miles Purchase who made important plays, such as an interception in the overtime.

They Said It: “We came out kind of sloppy,” said Sophomore Arden Walker. “But overall we did pretty good, especially during fourth quarter and overtime.”

Key Moment: Miles’s interception at the end of overtime was the turning moment of the game.

Up Next: They will try to keep this good sequence on the next game against Chaparral. The game will take place at next Thursday, September 20, at  the Stutler Bowl at 7 P.M.
