The 2016 Girl’s Lacrosse Season

The Cherry Creek Bruins Girls’ Lacrosse Team is looking to go to its nineteenth straight state title this year. The Girls’ lacrosse team has been to every state championship since 1998, winning ten of the eighteen state titles.

Eliza Radochonski, a junior standout, has scored more than sixty points just this year. She has led her team to a 14-1 start heading into the 2016 state playoffs. Radochonski is leading her team in goals and assists at this point in the season. Radochonski’s outstanding play will hopefully continue throughout the playoffs.

The past two years, the Bruins haven’t had the storybook ending they had been working towards . They finished the 2014 season with a loss to Air Academy and the 2015 season with a loss to Colorado Academy both in State Title Games. This year, the Bruins look to get back on track by winning their eleventh state title over nineteen years.
