Students and teachers work to help an ILC student because he can’t go down the ramp installed in the East Courtyard. The ramp cost around $5000. “We still need to put in a pathway as one of our students in a wheelchair got stuck today,” Canham said. “All of our students worked together to organize stones so that his wheelchair could make the clearance.” Continued renovations to the East Courtyard are expected to cost thousands of dollars.

Creek's first play of the year, Puffs, was written as a parody of Harry Potter with a main focus on Hufflepuffs. Creek's theater troupe, the Thespians, were able to assemble and perform the play on Nov. 4 to 6. "This has been one of my favorite productions I have done at Creek," junior Jo Ridgeway said.

The new hybrid schedule has students in school for two days and out of school for two days, and synchronous online for Mondays. A USJ survey of 113 students shows that 66% of students prefer the new schedule over last semesters. “Overall, I believe this new schedule is better than last semester and much better than being online,” said junior Leah Abrahamsson.

Dec. 12: We moved to our new house at the beginning of the year, before everyone was in quarantine. At that point, the park behind our house was always filled with a bunch of people, either fishing, playing tennis, or with their kids playing at the park. Since quarantine, there has rarely ever been even one person there. “I used to see lots of people in the park,” said Jason Foster, my dad. “But now I only see a few people. It’s very quiet.” We’ll sometimes take the dogs out for a walk around the park. It’s very sad to see all of the tennis courts and the pool empty, even when it’s not snowing outside. – Staff Writer Lydia Foster
