- “The Social Network” was storytelling of how Facebook was created and the issues that it may have occurred during the time of creation. Note that the movie is not a documentary and may be fictitious. The movie includes adult material from bars, clubs, intimacy, and drugs.
- “Inception” is sci-fi/thriller movie with the protagonist of the story being able to enter other people’s dreams and steal information from their subconscious part of their brain. You may have to watch the movie a few times to fully understand the movie.
- “The Help” is a historical drama movie that was set in 1960s Mississippi. Skeeter (Emma Stone) sees how black women are being treated, and so in efforts to fight it she writes an article.
- “Horrible Bosses” is about how these three friends all have terrible bosses. One day, over a few bottles of beer they decide to take revenge on their bosses. One boss is a psychopath, the other one is always intimate, and the last one is just a huge jerk.
- “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” is a comedy-drama movie about a boy who is always timid and introverted comes across two charismatic people that becomes his friends but also his mentor. They open him up to a whole new world.
- “Django Unchained” is a film aimed towards black audiences. The story of the film was the protagonist attempting to free the system of slavery. The movie includes a lot of gory/cruel scenes that any may view as disturbing.
- “Lone Survivor” is a motion picture about a group of men in the navy seals that were sent on a mission to take out the Taliban leader. They were spotted by a goat herder and spared his life only to realize that they were outnumbered.
- “About Time” is a romantic comedy with a slight twist. The men in the Lake family are able to travel back in time. Through trial and error he continues to use his abilities to get the perfect response from women.
- “John Wick” is an action film with a lot of violence and gory scenes. He retired early from his occupation as a bounty hunter after the death of his wife. His wife gave him a puppy as a farewell gift until it was later killed. Let’s just say somebody messed with the wrong person.
- “Interstellar” is a mystery and drama movie that will keep you on your toes. As the world becomes uninhabitable because of the second dust bowl. A team of scientists go into space as the last hoorah to see if there is a way out.
- “The Revenant” is a very thrilling movie that will make chills down your spine. After a near death experience from the attack of a bear, the nomads decide to leave the protagonist behind and killing his son. They buried the character assuming he would be dead but he’s coming back for everything.
- “Creed” is a sensational and moving movie. Sequeling from the Rocky series, the main character begins to find a passion for boxing just like his father did. He started boxing professionally but the problem was whether the reason he was boxing was the right path for him.
- “Finding Dory” is a great movie to watch with your friends and family. As the first movie was about finding Nemo, this time Dory finally remembers something for the first time in her life. She remembers that she has a family and goes on an adventure in search for them.
- “Split” is considered a psychological horror movie and may have some disturbing scenes. The film is about a person who has 23 different personalities ranging from a young boy/girl to an adult male/female.
- “Dunkirk” is a movie taking place in France on the beaches of Dunkirk during the 1940s. The movie switches the location and time of the setting quite often so make sure you pay attention while watching the movie.
- “Get Out” is a horror film created by Jordan Peele who is well known on Comedy Central. It’s starts with a couple visiting the parents up in the mountains. The parents however have maids and butlers that are all black as is the man in the relationship. The man in the relationship realizes that there is something wrong with the workers.
- “Avengers Infinity War” was very popular when it was first shown on movie theaters. Obtaining knowledge from Marvels’ comics, an evil man named Thanos attempts to cut the world’s population by half through the use of all Infinity Stones. It is up the the reformed Avengers to stop him.
- “A Quiet Place” was a film that included no words. All talking were done through sounds, special effects, and sign language. The Earth was invaded by aliens and was forced to go silent. The monsters were very sensitive to sound so everything had to be done quietly.
- “IT Chapter Two” was just as thrilling and scary as the first movie, IT. After 27 years Pennywise decides to come back into town terrorize it. Losers group back up again and fight back to end for all it was.
- “Toy Story 4” is a cartoon movie that can be enjoyed when watching with a group of friends or family. The new caregiver of the toys creates a new toy. The new toy attempts to run away. Woody in attempt to bring the new toy back finds paradise and debates what the right decision is.
